Position Overview: You’ll define and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives. You’ll be hands-on, leading product development, ensuring we’re building at high velocity and in aligment with the product vision. You’ll build and lead a high-performing team of engineers and work closely with key stakeholders to help develop the product roadmap. You will own the technology roadmap, report to the CEO, and be a key part of the executive team.
As an early-stage business, you’ll need to balance hands-on development with being a big-picture strategist and leader. This role is ideal for someone who wants to help build a SaaS B2B company and offers the opportunity to be part of an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging working environment.
Responsibilities:
Architect our software platform for today while planning for future needs
Hire, manage and mentor a growing team of engineers
Define and prioritize the engineering roadmap
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Leads software design and development
Plan and lead transformation initiatives to new software architectures
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient full-stack applications
Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern web technologies
Ensure code quality, deployment standards and practices
Lead and implement software engineers' best practices, agile methodologies, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications:
B2B startup experience. We’d prefer a former CTO or engineering leader with experiences at a seed/series A-B stage startup, scaling through an exit.
10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer, 4+ years managing a team
Expertise in cloud architecture, with a proven track record of B2B product delivery
Experience working with multiple front-end and back-end languages
Experience with API design and implementation.
Experience with software versioning, packaging and deployment
Experience with Infrastructure as code (IaS) and and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
Live in the greater Indianapolis area, able to work in a hybrid work setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information system or computer science
Experience preparing data for data science and machine learning
Azure cloud expertise
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
