Entegrata is a post-revenue startup addressing the legal industry's most pressing data challenges by delivering turnkey, Azure-based data lakehouse solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Data Architect to join our team and play a hands-on role in transforming the way law firms engage with data.

 

This position is perfect for a versatile professional who excels at both high-level data architecture and hands-on implementation, with deep experience in the legal data ecosystem. If you are highly experienced in SQL, familiar with core legal business applications, and eager to master Azure's data platform, we want to hear from you.


Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable, efficient data pipelines and solutions to support ingestion, processing, and analysis of complex datasets in the legal domain.

  • Design end-to-end data architectures, including database schemas, ETL/ELT workflows, and Azure cloud-based solutions.

  • Actively engage in coding, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries, ETL processes, and cloud-based data services.

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Develop and enforce best practices for data integrity, security, and performance, using industry-leading tools and methodologies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data insights through platforms such as Power BI, Azure API Apps, and other visualization tools.

  • Maintain hands-on involvement in the full data lifecycle, from profiling and cataloging data to ensuring high-quality, production-ready deliverables.

  • Analyze current business practices, processes, and opportunities for innovation in the legal sector, leveraging data to drive value.


Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a law firm, legal systems integration company, or related industry.

  • Expertise in core legal business applications such as Elite 3E, Aderant Expert, iManage, NetDocuments, Intapp, Iridium, BigSquare, Foundation, Interaction, HRIS systems, viDesktop, and others.

  • Expertise in SQL, schema design, and development, with a proven track record of building production-level solutions.

  • Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and data transformation processes.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure Repos & Pipelines or Github and Github Actions

  • Familiarity with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL Database.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of data flows.

  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Python or PySpark for data engineering workflows.

  • Expertise in data governance, metadata management, and dimensional data modeling.

  • Experience with advanced Azure services, such as Azure Databricks, Fabric, HDInsight or Stream Analytics.

  • Familiarity with data streaming, pipeline development, orchestration tools, and data catalog tools.
